LEGACY

Youth-led

climate activism

Latinos and young people of color have always led the climate movement. You understand the ways that racist, colonial and industrial efforts have directly led to the current climate crisis and its impact on our community. We want to include your perspectives and struggles for climate change.

impacting climate change & health

We are inviting Latino youth groups interested in climate change to submit large artistic posters. We hope that we can get several groups to participate and submit one poster per group that reflects their feelings/experience with climate change. Our vision is that each youth group will submit a very unique and creative work of art that can be exhibited at the conference on an upright display board and help inspire critical dialogue. Each group can select 2 representatives to attend the conference and speak about the poster with attendees.

Posters will be displayed at the June 12th conference and on our social media pages. If your group is interested, please contact Gail Brownmiller at g.brownmiller@familiasenaccion.org for more details before you begin. Posters must be completed by no later than May 29th.
