Latino Legacy: Impacts of
Climate Change on Latino Health
Familias en Acción is proud to present our 11th annual Latino Health Equity Conference, focusing on the impacts of the climate crisis on Latino health, both now and for generations to come. Our planet continues to show signs of change and distress while the population grows and our demand for natural resources increases. These impacts can be seen in the form of dramatic weather events, but also show up in our homes, our families, and our bodies. How is climate change uniquely affecting the health of the Latino community now, and how can the Latino community in turn have a unique effect on the environment? How can we live in a way that would make our children and grandchildren proud?
Latino Legacy seeks to take these issues head-on, looking within our international community for inspiration and creative solutions. Featuring keynote speakers and workshops which will lay bare the issues at hand, and leave with empowering tools and information. We look forward to the courage and resilience that our community will bring to climate change which can be overwhelming to engage with. Our lives are our legacy, y el momento de actuar es ahora!
